Time, choice and reaction

Frederic asks how one can choose the amount of time something takes, referring to being told that Rene chose six months to walk again after his accident, and to his own drawn-out search for work and a move to Luxembourg.

The Wonders explain that the mind's psychology assumes linearity, so every choice is subject to a reaction and thereby generates time; the reaction to a choice is the span over which the movement takes place.

Without that psychology, the choice would simply be made and the circumstance occur without an expenditure of time.

They say Rene could easily have healed in four months - the body was capable - but he made a choice with time attached; choosing a fixed time, no time, or waiting are all simply different choices, and it is the self, not the ego, that makes them.

Their recommendation is to choose and not be concerned with or attached to the result.
